Toro Power Clear 180 Electric Snow Blower Review

Toro Power Clear 180

Toro Power Clear 180

If you’re looking for a powerful and lightweight snow thrower, then look no further than the Toro Power Clear 180 87cc Single-Stage Snow Blower with 18 inches of path clearing performance. Toro has been a recognized name of yard and lawn maintenance equipment for decades, and you are getting the quality of that name with this snow thrower.

You can go out and spend less money on a cheaper snow thrower, but the quality you get is also going to be cheaper than this Toro, so keep that in mind.

This Toro throws your snow up to 25 feet so that you don’t have to go back over the path again with a shovel or broom to make sure it’s clear. Other snow throwers aren’t capable of removing snow to this distance because they don’t have the power that this Toro does. If you want a versatile and easy to use throw thrower, then you can’t go wrong with a Toro.

The pull start handle has been conveniently placed to make it easier for you to start the snow thrower, and the addition of an electric start means you may never have to pull on that rope ever again. Simplistic ease of use and the quality of a Toro is exactly what you are going to get with this snow thrower, and you wouldn’t expect anything less, either. When you make the decision to purchase a Toro, you are going for quality over everything else that is in the market.

I just bought this snow thrower a month ago and have only had to use it once. So far, I have to say that I like it a lot. It clears the snow from my driveway and walkway in a matter of a few minutes. I even went over and cleared off the sidewalk and driveway of a couple of my neighbors. Now, they all want one of these snow throwers, too, because they don’t like shoveling any more than I do.

Besides, this works so much faster than the shovel and it’s not backbreaking work, either. The pull start is also very easy. It only takes a pull or two and the machine starts right up. I haven’t tried out the electric start, yet. The only complaint I have is that the choke is kind of flimsy. But, so far, there haven’t been any problems due to that, so I’ll reserve judgment. At this point, I recommend it highly.

Exactly a week after I got this machine, we were hit by a blizzard that dropped almost two feet of snow on us. We had drifts up to four feet. This is kind of unusual to get this much snow here at once, and I was a bit worried about whether or not this machine would be able to handle this much snow. I started it up and went to work on clearing off the snow one layer at a time. This took hours of running the blower. Finally, after using two tanks of gas, the snow was all cleared away.

Now, if I had had a larger machine, it wouldn’t have taken as long. But I was more than impressed with the work this little machine put out. It was a lot less expensive than a huge one and did the same amount of work even though it took longer. I would recommend this machine to anyone that needs to clear away snow during the winter.
